Kansas Disciples Women Spirit Fests
Each spring Kansas Disciples Women sponsor three Spirit Fest events to introduce new study materials, offer an opportunity to dedicate the Blessing Box offerings, provide leadership training workshops and service suggestions. One workshop features the mission study for the coming year. The events are hosted by local DWF/CWF groups who provide some staffing, a light breakfast and a lunch for all
who attend.
During the day-long events, there is worship, singing, interest groups, book displays with suggested reading materials for the new study materials, communion and an offering to support the work of Kansas Disciples Women. The Spirit Fest events are planned by a leadership team of volunteers who are ably assisted by leaders from the local congregations hosting the events.
In 2012, the Spirit Fests will be held on April 14 at First Christian Church in Erie, April 21 at First Christian Church in Leavenworth; April 28 at First Christian Church in McPherson.
All women from across the region are welcome to attend the event nearest to their home or one that fits in her schedule. The Registration Form is now available and should be turned in at least two weeks prior to the event to be attended.
