Ken MarstonKen Marston

A life-long member of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) Rev. Marston was born in Fort Worth, Texas and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was nurtured in his Christian faith first at Community Christian Church in Tulsa and as a youth at First Christian Church in Tulsa. Church camp experiences furthered that nurturing. He returned to Fort Worth for college at TCU (1984) and seminary at Brite Divinity School (1988). Before coming to Kansas in January of 2008, he served as an Associate Minister at First Christian Church in Neosho, Missouri, and then as pastor of First Christian Church in Pryor and Yukon, Oklahoma. In 2003 he began a three year training program in Spiritual Direction completing the training in 2005.

Since accepting the call to be an Associate Regional Minister for the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Kansas in 2008, Rev. Marston has led workshops at several congregations in the High Plains and Central Districts of the Christian Church (DOC) in Kansas, district assemblies, regional events, Sessions 2008, and the General Assembly in 2009. He also facilitated the annual Disciples Men's retreat in 2008 and the annual Spirituality retreat in 2010.

Rev. Marston has the responsibility of the pastoral care of the clergy and congregations who live and serve in the Central and High Plains Districts of the Christian Church in Kansas. He provides one on one spiritual direction as requsted and is also the pastorial liaison to the Clergy Care Ministries, the Spiritual Priority Committee, and to the Regional Disciples Men's Ministry.
