The Disciples' Center at Tawakoni is a place where we:

- Welcome all people with the love of Jesus Christ
- Help them Encounter God through nature, solitude and Christian community
- Send them out to serve the world in love

Funding efforts continue! In addition to the Raise Up Leaders campaign, our work requires support from a variety of sources. Grant and foundation writing continues to be a priority. In addition, there are individuals throughout the region who help to fund the development of Disciples Center. You are welcomed to join in this support.

SINCE 2004:

Phase 1 Completed!
The first phase of the Master Plan has been accomplished!
Including:
1) Bath/safe rooms in every cabin
2) Upgrade of Dining Hall (photo at left)
3) Challenge Course installed
4) Pontoon boat purchased
5) Installed children's playground
6) Canteen converted
7) 3 Study Shelters built
8) Utilities upgraded camp-wide
9) Paint and clean and paint and clean and paint…. throughout the facility!

Phase 2 is Ending
The crowning achievement of this phase has been the construction of the 3,500 square foot Sweeden Leadership Lodge. Phase 2 will end with the construction of a new Chapel. We are excited to continue to develop a year-round camp and retreat facility.

Phase 2 has included:
-Upgrading pathways
-Continued upgrading of Dining Hall
-56 new bunk beds & mattresses
-Construction of a new cabin
-Addition of a 2 tube slide at the pool
-Upgrading of the clergy cottage

Phase 3
. . . will be introduced in the near future with a focus on development of the Conference Center which can provide a meeting space for 200 or more. It will have hotel style sleeping rooms, office space and other amenities.
