Kansas’s mission is to connect and equip congregations, lay leaders, and pastors to make and grow disciples. One way we do this is through our annual Disciples Connect and Equip gathering/assembly. In addition to worship, workshops, and fellowship, there will be opportunities for fun and renewal, too.
Come join us for the 2023 Disciples Connect and Equip Regional Gathering, on Saturday, Aug. 12, at McPherson First Christian Church, 101 S Walnut St.
Registration Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m. followed by Opening Gathering at 9:30. Closing Worship will be 2:30-3:30 p.m. Our theme will focus on what it means to be a movement for wholeness in terms of physical, spiritual, relational wellbeing.
Lunch will be a build your own hamburger bar catered by Tammy’s Country Catering. The menu will be hamburgers with all the fixings, potato salad, baked beans, a variety of desserts, with your choice of drink.

Inspirational 2022 workshop leader, Rev. Josh Leu will keynote this year’s event. Josh holds a degree in Psychology from Oklahoma State University and an M.Div. from Phillips Theological Seminary.
During his 9-year tenure as senior pastor at Great Bend First Christian Church, the congregation has doubled its average worship attendance among four services, making it one of the fastest growing Disciple congregations in the Kansas region.
Josh’s leadership initiative to add a modern worship service, while keeping their formal traditional worship service, allows them to minister to every generation well. Josh is married to Ashely, and they have two amazing girls Karys and Khora.
